WHITE BELT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
    About Lesson

    What are you waiting for?

It is time to start your journey towards excellence

This module will give you a general understanding of what a Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification is about. It will tell what the necessary steps are to become a Certified White Belt at BBetter.

    What is Lean Six Sigma?

Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that relies on a collaborative team effort to improve performance by systematically reducing variability and removing waste; combining lean manufacturing, lean enterprise, and six sigma principles and tools, this continuous improvement initiative provides the means to increase customer satisfaction through the reduction and in many cases the elimination of the eight kinds of waste “Muda”: defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, motion, and extra-processing.

Lean Six Sigma utilizes both the PDCA methodology (Plan, Do Check, Act) and the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) phases to improve every area of any type of organization. There are also many tools, principles, and techniques that can be applied along with each of the phases of the methodologies.

Depending on the knowledge, function, and type of tools that an individual is capable to use and facilitate, Lean Six Sigma recognizes different roles identified as belts as in Karate. The belts are designated as White Belt, Yellow Belt, Orange Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt.  Each of the different belts is expected to acquire certain knowledge and understanding of the LSS tools and techniques, according to the function and the level of complexity of the problems that need to be resolved.

Is there a Lean Six Sigma Certification Process at BBetter?

As Lean Six Sigma became popular across multiple organizations from different types of industries, many of them developed internal processes to certify people depending on the function and belt that an individual plays within the organization.

Also, there are many organizations such as the American Society of Quality and many universities that offer the Lean Six Sigma certification. It is important to say that each of those organizations may use different criteria when issuing a Lean Six Sigma certificate.    BBetter has developed its own Lean Six Sigma certification process.

Our internal certification processes will guarantee that you will be able to compete and win when it comes to advancing in your career against any other certification offered in the market. We are committed to your development.  Lean Six Sigma possesses one of the most robust skill sets that companies need to improve in any area of the organization.

Therefore being Lean Six Sigma certified will help you resolve some of the challenges that you are encountering in any organization you serve while at the same time you will be progressing in your learning and career development.
